Simone is a Clinical Nurse working in the Neonatal Unit at Townsville University Hospital. She also works as a Clinical Research Coordinator within the organisation. Simone has recently coordinated the implementation of cotside cameras into the Neonatal Unit and will be researching the role of cotside cameras on breastfeeding and maternal wellbeing for mothers of neonates requiring surgery. She enjoys working with families to improve outcomes for their babies and to equip them with support and information to empower them in their journey as parents.
